Forum Title: Cutting a big hole in lexan
I need an easy way to cut a big hole in lexan. I have an a/c to pipe out my window. I tried many things over the years, and I've finally figured that lexan with the hose through it would probably would better than stuffing cardboard around the window kit and duct taping it. My window is a swing open upward type, so I want to put lexan in the opening, with the a/c screw on connector for the hose glued on just for laziness, and let the hose pipe out that. How can I put a big enough hole for an a/c hose in the lexan without breaking it?

If its really lexan....you won't break it. If its plexiglass, I'd clamp a scrap of thin plywood to it then cut through both with a jig saw and a plastic blade. Some folks say misting the cut with water helps it to not melt back together.
